Low ceilings – Monday 9th September 2024

Low ceilings

Where we are staying has low ceilings – very low ceilings. Obviously that is not a problem for me and I don’t need to duck through the doorways. However, even Mum is finding that the it’s a little too low for her. Given her track record of injuries, what could possibly go wrong? We are seeing how things go, but as things are at the moment we have some concern.

On the other paw, I’m finding the creaking floors of the old building are making me a little jumpy. Mum has told me that I am not to bark and that at night from 8pm noise is not allowed. I understand the theory.

Then there’s the weather

Oh dear, my beautiful sunny Switzerland is not sunny at all. At the moment it is very grey and very wet and not quite what I had in mind. Mum looked very bedraggled when she took me out for a walk yesterday. I laughed until she showed me that I didn’t look any better. On the bright side, I just love being rubbed down with a towel so there are perks in the whole situation.

Off to the vet

I’m off to the vet first thing this morning. It’s time for my rabies vaccination. After that I’m hoping to be going up to my mountain, even if it is raining. Mum hasn’t told me what time we’re meeting Valeria yet, but I guess if it’s too wet to walk we can always take the humans for a coffee.

We can’t actually see the mountain next to where we’re staying. It’s not just the top we can’t see. There’s so much cloud we can’t see the bottom of it either. Let’s just hope the weather unexpectedly improves, but Mum isn’t optimistic.

Love

Wilma
