Sisters are the best
Sisters are the best and I spent yesterday with my sister Tosca. The previous day with Valeria had been all about having a good run. Tosca however is older than me and Valeria. She’s twelve now and really quite deaf. We didn’t play together, but it was lovely to see her. In many ways she reminds me of our mum. She is so gentle and utterly beautiful.
We saw her humans too which I always enjoy. It is so good being around people and places that are completely familiar and where I feel settled and relaxed. I think it might be doing me a lot of good.
Lungernsee
On the way back we stopped at Lungernsee. The water of the lake is the most amazing blue. It is a little way up the road which goes to the Brunig Pass – or a long way down it the way we were coming. We had a lovely walk and, to Mum and Dad’s surprise I didn’t get all barky when we met people. Feeling so chilled out I just didn’t need to. Now the trick is to see if I can carry on feeling like that for the rest of the holiday and when we come home.
If I’m being honest I think being allowed to sleep on the bed last night has definitely helped me to relax. I’ve suggested that I should be able to do that every night. The problem at home is that the bed is too high for me to jump up onto, but Mum says she’s going to try to work out a permanent ramp that I will feel confident to use.
Plan for today
I’m not sure yet what the plan is for today. I think I’m starting with my mountain, but then Mum and I think that almost every day should start with my mountain. After that I’m not sure what is next.
Love
