Puppy Training – Tuesday 11th February 2025

Puppy training

Today Pebbles will start her puppy training classes. Mum doesn’t know yet if she is taking a cooperative, loving, little puppy or the mad demon who takes over every few days. Yesterday was a demon day. The previous three had been delightful puppy days. What today is will be determined at the point Pebbles gets out of the car at the training club.

One good thing is that the treats which have so far been Pebbles’ favourites will be in plentiful supply. Something like that should be easy, but Pebbles being Pebbles declared her favourites to be Boony Bits. Unfortunately, they aren’t easily available in the UK. I think they were the ones I chose for her from Switzerland. Fortunately, Mum found a supplier in Germany who ship to the UK without a delivery cost if you buy their minimum order amount. We now have a lot of Boony Bits!

One thing that I’m really happy about is that she doesn’t particularly like my favourite biscuits. That is really good news.

Remembering Megan One

We received the very sad news that my friend Megan died yesterday. She’s been one of my walking buddies in Switzerland over the last few years. If you’ve read the diary for a very long time you might already know her story. She was born in 2009 and was going to be Mum’s dog, which is why she was called Megan. Unfortunately, her tail curled too far and it wasn’t likely she’d pass her breeding test. Mum had to make the very difficult decision to let her go to another home and wait for another puppy (also called Megan).

Anyway, Megan One turned out to be a very very lucky girl and moved to live with her father Falk. Falk was a lovely boy and his daughter was lovely too. She lived to the amazing age of being only a couple of months short of her sixteenth birthday. We know how much her human will miss her and send all our love and licks.

Love and woofs
