I was wrong – Sunday 23rd February 2025

I was wrong

Ok, I admit, I was wrong. I know I said I didn’t want to go to the dog field, but I had a great time. It is a lovely open field with the grass not too long. Once we were out of the car we were able to have a really good run. At the moment I can still outrun Pebbles which had the advantage that she couldn’t jump on me. She did come up to me every so often and I just rolled her over and carried on. Mum said I was being a little rough at one point, so I toned things down. When she needed a rest, Pebbles went and hid under the picnic table, which was funny.

Drama queen

Pebbles is a bit of a drama queen. It’s odd really as our breed aren’t normally like that. She squeals if she thinks she might get hurt rather than waiting until she’s at death’s door before she says anything. Mum stopped play as soon as Pebbles squealed and gave her a thorough check, but she seemed to be fine. We carried on for a while and then Mum said she thought Pebbles should have a rest. Pebbles went to sit in the car and I had a game of football with Mum and Dad. It was great.

Recall

I went to sit in the car while Mum did some recall work with Pebbles. It didn’t go well. Pebbles was too busy trying to cuddle Dad to be interested in what Mum was doing. I think she’s going to need more practice.

On the bright side, it all went so well that Mum has booked the field for us again on both Monday and Friday this week. She says she will do some more bookings after that as long as we’re benefitting from it. I love the fact I can have a really good run off lead without meeting any other people or dogs. It’s perfect – even if I do have to go with Pebbles.

Love and woofs
