Gold Star
Mum says I deserve a gold star for the progress I’ve made with my fitness. Yesterday at my hydrotherapy session I had my measurements taken to see if I’m managing to build some muscle mass. I’ve added a centimetre to my front leg muscles and would you believe a massive 4 centimetres to my back legs? Everyone is really pleased with me. I knew my legs were feeling much better, but I wouldn’t have guessed I was doing that well. Better news still is that I’ve evened them up and my right leg isn’t much weaker than the left now. I still need my arthritis injections each month, but with that and my exercise I’m much more nimble on my paws.
Mum has asked me to think seriously about how we can go for walks as they will help too, but that’s much harder to cope with.
Today’s the day
Today’s the day for Pebbles to come home. I’m trying not to think about it. Mum is setting off shortly to collect her. As usual, Mum will be armed with lots of exciting treats for Pebbles to focus on. Hopefully she’ll be pleased to be home – we’ll see. We spent time yesterday going around the garden trying to clear all the toadstools. Paws crossed we have got rid of enough of the risk areas.
The weather forecast is good for the next ten days, which means Mum is planning to have lots of time outdoors gardening and getting the garden ready for winter. She is planning to work hard with Pebbles on her training too. Somehow we need to get to the point where Pebbles can be happy to be indoors as well as outdoors. It’s going to be a very long winter if Mum has to be outside all the time so she can entertain Pebbles.
Love and licks
