Destructive urges
Pebbles spends her life having destructive urges. I’ve tried asking why she does it, but she has no idea. It is not because she’s bored. She always seems most destructive when there are actually plenty of things to do. Yesterday, while she had free run of the garden and Mum was working raking apples, Pebbles was with her. Now, when I garden with Mum, I mooch around where she is, eating apples, having cuddles, asking for the odd ball to be thrown. Sometimes I just sit and watch. Pebbles is not the same.

Yesterday as Mum worked, Pebbles decided to turn her swing into a game. She had a swing with her one it, then tried to see how hard she could ram it into the tree. Once she was bored with that, which didn’t take long, she began to chew through parts of the swing.
The carved owl
The carved owl ornament has a rotten base. Mum likes it quite a lot and is still trying to save it. Pebbles just sees it as rotten wood to chew and ran off with it. Poor Mum had to work very hard to get it back before Pebbles had completely destroyed it. Sadly, she wasn’t in time with the apple tree grafting root stock, that Pebbles pulled out of the ground and chewed before Mum realised what she had stolen.
It really is a constant challenge.
Accidental tomatoes
The accidental tomatoes have all suddenly ripened. Mum has been eating little tomatoes from the plant by the greenhouse and the one in amongst the flowers in the front garden. Now the ones that grew amongst the parsnips have all suddenly ripened. Mum and I picked a bowl full, but need to go out and pick another bowl later today. We’ve got family coming for lunch so they will all be sent home with some tomatoes.

Love and licks
