Loud and demanding
Pebbles is being loud and demanding. Mum says she is heading into teenage and pushing the boundaries. I just think she’s being annoying. According to Mum, now is the most important time to be consistent with Pebbles and expect the same of her as normal. She will pretend she knows nothing and hasn’t heard whatever Mum said, but Mum needs to be patient and not allow Pebbles to have her own way. That is easier said than done. We are a very determined breed. We also have very loud voices and aren’t afraid to use them to get what we want. I should know. I’ve been doing it for years!
My dear friend Bernie
I heard this week that my dear friend, Bernie, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He and I were only three days different in age and both of us were born in Switzerland. We didn’t know each other until we were in the UK, but he lived quite near where we were in North Yorkshire. We used to go to York Racecourse together to have a good run. Mum found I was much more likely to come back when I was with Bernie. I was easily distracted as a puppy. Anyway, I’d like to send love to his humans who will be missing him very much.
The fence
The wildlife using the back fence as a thoroughfare have been at it again. Not only have they dug under the additional wire that Mum put in, but they have pulled out two of the pegs Mum added to hold it in place. Because she’s worried about Pebbles trying to go the other way, Mum has now added some bricks to hold it in place. Once the railway room is finished Mum is going to get in touch with the man who did some fencing for us before. She’s thinking that the sooner it is the better!
