Mum is excited

Today Mum is excited about trying out the rotavator. Actually, it’s a tiller and is not that big, but she’s thinking big, which I’m sure helps. She put it on charge when it arrived yesterday and is now itching to get out and see if it works. If it does this will be a happy household today and we can all enjoy a day outdoors. If it doesn’t then I will be staying a long way out of the way. I’ll also be suggesting that Pebbles does likewise. The biggest risk if it does work is that once Mum gets started she will then try to find other parts of the garden to try it on. The plants aren’t going to stand a chance. She says she’s not that stupid, but I’ve known her a long time and the jury’s out.

Garden day

Either way, a garden day is on the cards. Dad will be roped in to help tying up the roses. We might even get some progress on rebuilding the compost bins. Dad still insists we need to use string for that job, so Mum might leave him to do something else while she gets out the drill, saw and screwdriver. Either way, I’m guessing Pebbles is going to need to contain some of her efforts to assist as they may not be entirely welcome. I don’t feel the need to get that close when there is machinery involved.

Pebbles’ season

Weirdly, Pebbles has now reached over 43 weeks since her last season with absolutely no sign of anything happening. Mum is going to leave it a little longer, but if nothing has happened by twelve months from the last one she’s going to talk to the vet. We know she hasn’t had a silent season as she sees male dogs at her training class every week and there has been no interest in her at all. I guess it’s just Pebbles!
