Hot dogs
Good grief, we really are hot dogs at the moment. On the bright side, Pebbles hasn’t missed training on my account as it’s been cancelled anyway. Either way, she’s fed up. I have to miss breakfast and go for more tests. It means an early start, but at least the traffic won’t have built up yet. Mum will have to leave me at the Willows and then come to pick me up later. Given how hot it is forecast to be again, I should think she will be fed up of spending time in the car.
Mind you, the day doesn’t get much better this afternoon. Pebbles and I are going to spend a couple of days in kennels. That is going to be fun in this heat! At least we’ll be well looked after so I don’t need to be concerned. Mum had already booked us into separate kennels so that won’t be a problem.
Whilst we are away
Whilst we are away Mum has some cousins staying. Mum is really excited as she hasn’t seen her cousin for thirty years as she lives in Australia. Much as I said I’d like to meet them and would be happy to go in the car on the tour they are doing, it would have been a bit much with Pebbles as well. And of course, in this heat we can’t possibly stay in the car without the air-conditioning on for any time at all.
Thinking about it, I might suggest the installation of air-conditioning at the kennels. It would certainly help in this weather.
I need to get my bag ready for Mum to bring later. If I’m longer at the vet, Mum will have to pick me up on route and I don’t want her to forget to pack some extra treats for me. That and my pain medication of course!
Love and licks
