Cause for excitement
The only cause for excitement yesterday was Mum dropping a plain digestive biscuit. I couldn’t even get to it, being on crate rest. I think I may be beginning to go crazy as I even found myself willing Pebbles to get to the biscuit before Mum could clear it up. You’ll be pleased to hear that she did and has not said she prefers digestives to Bonio. Pebbles did wonder if a little meat could be combined with the sweetness of a digestive to reach total perfection.
As for me, I spent much of the day counting the intersections of the uprights and the horizontal bars of my crate. You will be pleased to know that I lost count, so I will be able to restart exactly the same activity today.
Dog sports
Pebbles has heard from one of her sisters that she has started doing something called Hoopers. Now she wants to sign up. Freya says it’s like a more accessible type of agility. They do run it at the training school which Pebbles goes to. The requirement is that you can work ‘off lead’. That’s where it has been a problem so far. Until her last couple of training sessions, removing the lead from Pebbles was an opportunity for her to go wild and jump on all the other dogs. For the last couple of sessions, Mum has managed to remove her lead without incident. Mum has agreed to ask Pebbles’ trainer if she thinks Pebbles could sign up.
Maybe things like that are just what she needs. Alternatively it will be another opportunity for Mum to get cold and wet in a field while Pebbles does her own thing and Mum gets frustrated. It’s one of those things which could go either way!
