It was all going so well
It was all going so well until Mum’s sewing machine went wrong. She had done all the main seams on one cushion and was just doubling them over to make a sort of piping edge and stop them fraying. That was when the sewing machine through a temper tantrum. Mum cleaned it and put it back together, but it still won’t work. Sadly, now she has to take it to a repair place to see if they can fix it for her. She says she’s very fond of her sewing machine, so I do hope it can be sorted out. In the meantime my bed has to be put to one side. Now I don’t know if it will be finished for when I come out of hospital. Mum has promised to do her best.

Not just the sewing machine
It’s not just the sewing machine that has decided to stop working. The strimmer is not behaving either. Mum says it needs a new piece of string and should be find when that has been done. But it was a very frustrating day with everything Mum touched breaking. Especially if you add that the car seems to have a slow puncture. Naturally, I stayed out of her way – just in case.
Plan for today
Today’s plan is to fix all the things which broke yesterday. I think there might be some more mowing going on too. There is always mowing going on. Even Mum is thinking she may need to resort to using the sit on mower to speed the process up. What she’d really like is a little sit on mower but that would struggle to do the garden with it being a) on a slope and b) deep in water. A some sheep would definitely be the best option, but I guess they’d just eat everything.
