Scary moment
Mum had a scary moment with Pebbles on their way back from Belgium. Pebbles was already feeling unsettled by all the changes and then when they got to the Channel Tunnel to check in, Pebbles had a little panic and tried very hard to back out of her harness and collar. Mum ended up having to grab her by the scruff of the neck and then went in the same direction as Pebbles to get her to go forward into her harness rather than out of it completely. After that, check in went smoothly, but when Mum got back to the car she had to sit and wait for five minutes so that she stopped shaking before starting to drive. For a moment she thought her worst nightmares were about to be realised.
Home again
Pebbles couldn’t have been happier to get home. She didn’t care that the grass had grown loads or that the fox has been using our garden as a toilet. All she cared about was that she felt safe and happy and was somewhere she loves. Mum was relieved to find the veg hasn’t died while she’s been away.
The good news is that we’re all going to have to spend a lot of time outside getting everywhere back in shape. It will do us all good so we don’t really mind. Today Mum says we might be able to make something of a start, but the main work will begin tomorrow.
Cone
Now Mum’s back we can see how I get on without my cone. I won’t have to wear it as long as I promise not to rub my eye. It’s so hard. On the one paw I really don’t want the cone on, but on the other paw when my eye gets uncomfortable I just rub it without thinking.
Love and licks
