Nowhere like home
There really is nowhere like home. I cannot begin to tell you how much better I feel just to be in my own surroundings. The rain yesterday made the journey slower and a bit unpleasant, but we got back in time to collect my new medication from the vet and arrive home at around my teatime. It is so good to know where to find my food and my bowl. I’ve been a bit clingy, following Mum around from room to room, but over the course of the evening I began to relax. Having spent every evening, for the last two weeks, pacing, panting and barking, it was nice to just stop.
I’m still feeling jumpy, but nothing like I have been – thankfully.

The garden
As always when we’ve been away, I took Mum around the garden so we could see what had been going on. The good news is that all the herbs we planted are doing very well. Mum had been anxious about them, but she really didn’t need to worry. The grass and weeds have grown too, so we have a lot of work to do. I think that may be a good think as it will take my mind off things. We have an awful lot of apples to pick up and even more to pick from the trees. As long as it’s dry, I’m going to get Dad onto the apples on Sunday morning.
On holiday
Because we were supposed to still be on holiday, Mum and Dad asked if I’d mind if they went to a museum today. It’s not far away so I can stay home and Mum will come back to give me my lunch on time. In all honesty, I’d like to spend most of today asleep recovering from my exhausting travels. I don’t think I’ll be allowed to sleep all day. Mum has said that she wants me to go out for a walk everyday as the fresh air and exercise will do me good. I’ll try my best and see how we get on.
Love and licks
