Happy first birthday
Happy first birthday to our crazy, beautiful, bonkers, funny (and did I say mad?) Pebbles. Happy birthday to Reya, Buddy, Eiger, Freya, Starsky and Rufus too. May you all have the very best of days and be good little pups for all your lovely humans – especially Pebbles, please be a good girl.

It’s hard to believe they are already a year old. Obviously, Pebbles hasn’t lived with us for a whole year yet, although it feels much longer. On the bright side, her good moments are outweighing her naughty moments and she has learnt how to chill out. We’re still building up to seeing if we could be ok together. I’ve been having a bit of a bad week and Mum hasn’t wanted to push her luck. To be fair, it is the first week in which Pebbles has started to show good behaviours so it’s early days.

Pebbles on my Mountain
Now, I know Pebbles hasn’t been to Switzerland in person yet, but she has been pretending. She has taken to curling up in my favourite chair in the hall under the picture of the Raten. Mum has promised to take her there one day, just as soon as she’s ready for coping with travelling. Mum says before they get to that point she needs to be able to take Pebbles out and about in public places. Her walks are going quite well so Mum might try being more adventurous with her soon.

Moulting like mad
Pebbles is still moulting like mad. Mum has held off taking her to the vet as she thinks it is most likely hormonal. None of the rest of us has ever lost our coats quite so dramatically, but we know dogs who have. Mum is giving her kelp to help the hair to regrow and is monitoring her. She’s also vacuuming daily to clear up the mess. Thank goodness I’m not like that too.
Love and licks
