Christmas Lights
I thought we had a lot of Christmas lights, but as we drove through the village yesterday I realised where Mum is getting some of her ideas from. We normally just drive along one road and are straight out of the village, but it rained a lot yesterday and our village has lots of places that flood. You wouldn’t think it as we’re part way up a hill, but wherever nature created a hollow, water seems to congregate. Anyway, that all meant we went the long way round to the vet, which in turn gave me the opportunity to see the Christmas lights in the village. It turns out that ours are positively low key compared to a lot of the houses. I think we need to try harder next year and I shall be discussing it with Dad.
The best day
Today is the best day as Dad will come home. After today, he is not going to work every day, just occasionally. He has warned me that will mean he goes away a little bit, but it won’t be as much as it has been. I tried to remember when he was last at home all the time and it is a very long time ago. If I remember rightly, I was little more than a puppy when his work meant he came home every night. I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am that at last he will be here to say goodnight to me every night. The only downside is that I’ve been enjoying sleeping in his place on the bed. I wonder if he’ll mind sharing?
Better evening
I’ve had a couple of better evenings on my new medication. I have settled better and haven’t barked at Mum as much. I think that’s good for both of us.
Love and licks
