Health tracker for dogs

Pebbles has her own health tracker for dogs. It’s called a Maven and is all about tracking health rather than a location tracker. Mum was particularly interested to see what it said as Pebbles doesn’t seem to sleep as much as most dogs. It’s much too early to give you an idea of whether it gives us any useful information. Hopefully, once she’s been using it for a few days and it has learned a bit about her, then we can share the information with you.

When Pebbles started putting her information in, she was upset to find we didn’t exist on the list. Our breed hasn’t been included. She has contacted the help desk to ask for us to be added. Hopefully that will be sorted out soon. She was very upset to have to put herself in as ‘multi-breed medium’.

Types of information

The types of information it gives are how much she sleeps, her heart and breathing rate and her drinking. It’s designed to provide information which can be passed to a vet if we ever have a health problem. Mum asked if I would like one too, but honestly do I really need to know that I’m sleeping almost all the day away? I’m an old dog. I don’t do anything very exciting, especially now I’m on crate rest.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to analysing Pebbles and confirming everything I’ve always suspected – she’s a fruit loop. I wonder if Mum wears a health tracker for the same reason? Perhaps I should be comparing their results. For instance, do Pebbles’ most active times coincide with when Mum is most stressed? Is Pebbles not sleeping the cause of Mum not getting enough sleep? I could be on to something here.
