Clarkson’s Farm

Pebbles is loving watching Clarkson’s Farm. I kid you not. When Mum and Dad put it on she is absolutely rivetted. She’s not so keen on watching the humans in it, but as soon as the animals come on she doesn’t want to miss a moment.

So far, her favourite part was when they were at the Cotswold Wildlife Park with the rhinoceros. Mum says she’s going to have to find a cuddly rhino for Pebbles from somewhere. Obviously, she enjoyed watching their attempts at rounding up the sheep, but then the cow giving birth was amazing too.

Shadow has been the only other one of us that was really a tv viewer, but with Pebbles it’s a whole new level. Dad said that we should leave wildlife programmes on for her to watch if she’s ever at home on her own.

A dilemma

I have a dilemma. The vet says that if I want them I can have stronger painkillers. On the one paw, obviously I don’t want to be in pain. However, on the other paw, the risk of feeling less pain is that I forget to be careful and try to do things I’d be better not to do. At the moment, I am on ‘semi-crate’ rest. I’m having short periods in my crate and more of the time in the hall and kitchen with Mum around. However, I’m only having outdoor time on lead.

Mum says as long as things seem to settle down again then she will let me have some time outdoors off lead, but wants to keep what I do indoors controlled, so I don’t climb onto the settee or a bed. She doesn’t want me doing stairs either.

I’m thinking I might keep the increased pain medication option for an emergency. Having said that, Mum has explained they don’t work immediately and take up to three weeks to build up. I might ask Mum if I can discuss what’s best with the vet.

Love and licks
