Photo competition
The votes are coming in on the photo competition for our Club calendar. Mum won’t let me see the spreadsheet with all the results on so far. I want to know if any of the pictures that Pebbles and I sent in are getting any votes, but Mum says I have to find out at the same time as other dogs do. I think there should be some benefit in being Mum’s best friend when she’s doing the compiling of results.
We did send a video greeting to the Swiss Club as they are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. There’s a picture of me at the end of the video and one of Pebbles being her usual goofy self, part way through. It’s a lovely video and makes Mum cry when she watches it. Sunflowers
Whilst most of the garden is very brown, I have been remembering to water the sunflowers. As I told you, I’ve given up on the tall sunflowers. I’ve never done very well growing those, but the short ones do seem to give some big smiley flowers. I know they cheer Mum up. I’ve got several pots around the garden and they are all doing quite well. Not as well as the marrows, but in their own way they give me more to smile about and that’s just as important as eating – ok, so I don’t really believe that. I like eating way too much, but I like things which make me happy too.
We had a visitor yesterday who I’ve met before a number of times, so that made me happy too. I can’t cope with new people now, but ones I already know and who will give me a little fuss when I ask – they make me happy.
