I have food – Monday 31st August 2026

I have food

It’s all right, I have food. Mum drove up to see me yesterday and brought more food and medication. To be honest, I wasn’t worried about the medication, but I was a little concerned about the food. Mum didn’t say long as she wanted to get back to Wilma. One thing she said while she was here has left me worried. Mum said that I may have to take over the diary completely. ‘A few days’ that’s what I thought was doing. I don’t see myself as a writing kind of dog. It takes too much concentration. Honestly, I hate the effort of concentrating. Football is different, that’s intuitive. I can control the ball without thinking too much about it. It would be different if I played in a team, but I don’t. My audience is either Mum and Dad and I only play when I want to.

Adulting

Mum said I need to step up and be an adult. I’m not ready to do any adulting. I’m not even two years old yet. That makes me practically a puppy. I’m at the age of being care free, cared for and being able to throw tantrums whenever I choose. That’s not a life I’m ready to leave behind. Mum says we’re going to talk about it when I get home. It made me grateful that I’m here for a few more days. At least by the time we do sit down, I can have given more thought to what I want to do.

The list of things I don’t want to do is quite long. Obviously, I don’t want to do bomb disposal – too scary. I’m not cut out to be a therapy dog – unless laughter really is the best medicine, in which case I’m your dog. Overall, I see myself as action orientated, but get bored easily. I have no idea what jobs call for those skills.
