The calendar
Mum doesn’t always remember to change the calendar to the right page at the start of the month. Yesterday I was nagging her to turn the page just as soon as we got up. I should say pages rather than page, as we have four calendars. There were only two that really mattered to me. The Swiss Club’s calendar was by far the most important as there is a beautiful picture of my dear Mama Susi. Oh I did have a bit of a moment as I remembered what a good mum she’d been and how beautiful she was.
Then I asked Mum to change our own Club’s calendar as this month it’s a picture of my half-brother, Salvo. It really is lovely to be surrounded by pictures of my family. I’m hoping to see Salvo later this month, although Mum says I may have to stay out of the way depending on how I’m doing recovering from my surgery. I certainly won’t be running about, but it would be nice to say hello when he’s here.
Beautiful caterpillars
There is a plant in the garden – well to be honest, it’s more half a plant now. The other half has been eaten by the most beautiful caterpillars I’ve ever seen. As with all things in our garden they seem to have gone to extremes and there are dozens of them. Mum said it was too late to rescue the plant now so we may as well leave them to it. Hopefully they will hatch and fly fairly soon, but I’m not sure the plant is going to recover.
Keeping my humans busy
My humans are excited that the juke box they’ve ordered is being delivered in a couple of weeks. They have been busy deciding which CDs they are going to put in it. Fortunately rather than having to agree they are each choosing half of the number. At least their taste overlaps for some of them. Mum says once my back is better we can get back to me learning my dance routine to Rock Around The Clock. I’d almost forgotten that we were doing that. At least there will be more space in the garden room and I won’t back into cupboards anymore.
