Beekeeping

If you want to know more about beekeeping, the lovely lady who had our swarm of bees as her first colony now has a facebook page HERE. She posts some really interesting videos which show some of the amazing work that is involved in keeping bees. We’ve learnt so much over the last couple of years. The saddest bit was that our colony lost its queen and that was the end of the colony. There’s still a hive called after our swarm and they are hoping next year to be able to get it going again. We really hope they do. This year wasn’t a good year for bee swarms so we’re hoping next year will be better.

Hydrotherapy

Yay – I can start hydroptherapy. As soon as I heard that from my consultant I wanted to go for a swim immediately. Mum has explained I have to be patient – not my forte! She’s going to ring them today to get my first session booked in. She’s told me that it will most likely be when we’re back from holiday, but I’m still hoping it will be sooner than that. I’ll be going to the one with the treadmill. We’ll see how I get on.

My play area

Mum is still looking at the astroturf idea for my play area. This is me standing in front of it. It’s behind the metal fence and will go up to where the fence is missing at the moment because of the building work. Mum’s even ask the builders how much it would be for them to do the astroturf properly for me so that the surface is more level than it is at the moment. It all sounds very exciting. We even started to look at the sorts of things I’d like to have in the area. Mum is thinking she will make most of those rather than buy them. She keeps salvaging building materials so I think she might use some of those.
