New harness – Sunday 5th January 2025

New harness

Pebbles has a new harness. Mum has broken her rule that when we’re puppies we have to make do with paw-me-downs and spoilt Pebbles. It’s really because Pebbles and a lead attached to her collar don’t go well together. If she gets excited she pulls so hard that she starts to choke herself. It only had to happen once for Mum to say that wasn’t ok. She did have a little harness, but Mum said it wasn’t comfortable enough for Pebbles to wear as much as she’d need to. And that’s how Mum justified spoiling Pebbles. She measured her carefully first to make sure we bought the right size and then made sure she bought one where Pebbles current measurements are at the bottom of the size range.

I’ll be honest, I’m a bit jealous as it’s purple and would go very nicely with my lead. Ok, so I’ve got a purple one, but every girls likes a new harness once in a while. And before you remind me, yes I do know I only just had a new one, but that doesn’t stop me being jealous of Pebbles.

The Buggy

I’ve tried the buggy. Ok, so I’ve not been out in it, but I like it so far. Mum put an extra snuggly blanket inside and a handful of treats. I was very happy to go in of my own accord and could get myself into a comfortable position. Pebbles was supposed to have a go too and was due to go out in it, but Mum and Dad ended up having a lazy day and to be honest the amount that Pebbles slept, I think she appreciated that. Mum has promised to try harder today, but everyone needs a rest once in a while.

When I say ‘rest’ Mum did take down all the Christmas decorations, except some of the lights in the back garden. She also spent lots of time outdoors with me and Pebbles and worked hard with Pebbles on her training for short bursts of time. Pebbles is definitely food driven, which is useful when she’s hanging off Mum’s jumper and Mum wants her to let go and do something else.

Love and woofs
