Running laps
As I write this, Pebbles is running laps of the kitchen. She thinks the rug is a toy and keeps running off with it, dragging it behind her. Mum says she has had her fingers down Pebbles throat retrieving things more often already than all the rest of us put together. On the other paw, Pebbles is also enjoying her training and, when she puts her mind to something, can learn very quickly. It’s just that she hates to sit still. I mean really hates it. I was only two weeks old than Pebbles is now when I sat at Mum’s feet through a two hour meeting at the University of Cambridge. Mum wouldn’t dare take Pebbles to something like that yet. Mum is confident she will learn eventually, but it’s going to take time.

My eyes
I saw my lovely vet yesterday. She tested my tear rate again. It has increased slightly but is nowhere close to the normal range. The next step is to put me on stronger medication. Mum has ordered it, as it’s much cheaper online than through the vet and I’ll be starting on it as soon as it arrives. It does mean continuing with ointment in my eyes, twice a day, every day. I’m not really enjoying it, but we’ve worked out a routine that is as good as it’s going to get. It’s just frustrating that now I’ve got my back sorted I’ve moved on to another problem.
Switzerland
Mum is booking our next Swiss trip which is cheering me up. It’s not for a while, but it does give me something to look forward to. She has said that it may be just me that goes and not Pebbles, which would be so exciting. Of course, if Pebbles and I become best friends between now and then I may feel differently.
Love and woofs
