A visit to Aarau
Yesterday I went on a visit to Aarau. It’s a place we haven’t visited before. Mum found a wonderful place for us to go for a walk first. Wildpark Roggenhausen is a beautiful country park with deer, goats and pigs amongst other things. There were some tiny piglets that were incredibly cute. Dad was very taken with the deer and Mum said it was better to keep me where I wouldn’t get too excited – which was a shame. I was as good as gold, except when I saw another dog and decided to have a bit of a pre-emptive bark.

We walked for about an hour altogether and it was lovely. Definitely somewhere I’d choose to go again.
Old Town
Then we went to find parking in the tow itself and had a potter around the old town. Honestly, I get less excited about buildings, but Mum really likes how they are all painted and the brightly coloured shutters. She’s a bit of a fan of clocks too, which is useful in Switzerland. One thing you can be sure of here is that you will find clocks.

Some of the roofs of the old buildings overhang the pavement by quite a long way. The underside of the roof is then painted with interesting designs and pictures. I think Mum could have spent ages going round looking at them all.

Underground car park
One thing Switzerland does very well is underground car parks. It means when I’ve had enough I can go and sit in the car without any risk of getting too hot. When Dad started talking about going to the art museum, I called the car park card and went back for a nap. As it turned out, I needn’t have bothered as the art museum was about to close so I’d hardly shut my eyes before Mum and Dad were back at the car with me.

Love and licks
