The lemons are out
The most important news from our end is that the lemons are out. Mum and Pebbles moved them yesterday. I thought I was doing it, but Pebbles offered to help, so I left them to it. The lemons are not looking that well after their winter indoors. The question now is whether with a little tender loving care, can they recover? They have moved onto their summer food as well as some neem pellets to discourage pests. Mum is going to prune some of the dead branches, but wants to make sure she knows which are actually dead first. We’ve made that mistake before – cutting a branch only to find it really might have recovered if we hadn’t cut it.

A quiet morning
I’m really looking forward to a quiet morning at home today. Mum and Pebbles are going to Pebbles’ training class and Dad is away. It means I can stretch out on Mum’s bed undisturbed. I would probably prefer Mum to be at home and stretched out next to me, but it can’t be helped.
I told Pebbles to make the most of seeing her friends today. She really does have to come into season soon. It’s been over 40 weeks since her last season already. Mum even looked up if the medication Pebbles is on could have any impact, but all the information Mum found suggested that they shouldn’t.
Lost ball
The boy next door asked if we could find the ball he’d lost over the fence. Mum and I had a good look, hoping to find it before Pebbles. We couldn’t find it and wonder if it might have gone into the field behind the house. What we did find was that the garden on that side has become a little overgrown while we weren’t looking. Mum was not happy. It seems gardening jobs are being added to the list rather faster than Mum can get through them. I’d volunteer to help, but I’m not keen on brambles.
