Twists and turns
Yesterday was full of twists and turns. I don’t mean there were lots of events going on. I mean that we went out in the car on roads that kept changing direction. I had my paws over my eyes for some of the journey and really wondered what humans thought was so worthwhile driving up into the hills for. Then we found the vineyards. Now, as a dog I just know that grapes are very dangerous and I shouldn’t eat them. Not so humans. Wine is of course very dangerous for humans, but does that stop them? In my experience they come up with all the reasons that wine is good for them and avoid thinking about the downsides. To be fair the view at the top of the hill was breath taking, even at dog eye level.

Feeling hot hot hot
The scheduled stop in a town for a walk didn’t go to plan. Salvo, Izzy and I all concluded that given the temperature was 26 degrees we would not be doing that. Instead Izzy and I had a wander together later when things cooled down and we were back at the hotel. Ruby has gone home now so there was just the two of us girls. Salvo didn’t mind missing out. He hates when we start talking about girlie things.
Feeling well
I think this holiday has done me a lot of good. I’m feeling much better than I have for a while and I even think my eye has improved a great deal. Maybe that’s the reason I haven’t felt the need to bark at everyone I see for the last couple of days. Mum says it’s a real pleasure seeing more of the real me again. We’re going to carry on going to busy places and doing lots of things until I’ve completely regained my confidence, but I’m doing much better than I was.
