An extra tree – Wednesday 27th November 2024

An extra tree

There’s an extra tree on Wilma’s mountain – or at least on our version of Wilma’s mountain. I thought it blended in quite well. Mum says once it’s decorated it won’t look quite the same. I wondered if there was a way I could show pretend decorations on the trees on my mural, but Mum said I wasn’t to try.

Decorating the tree is a little delayed as when Mum put it up Dad wasn’t here and doing it on her own has left it very wonky. It’s one of those jobs that I’ve never been much good at helping with. Dad was away, so sometime today they will straighten the tree and then Mum and I can put the decorations on it.

Fence repairs

I’m pleased to say that Mum finished the fence repairs which needed doing. The problem is that our neighbour’s fence is rotten, but rather than wait for it to be sorted, Mum needed to make the garden safe for Pebbles. I think she may be getting better at fencing. She didn’t hit any of her fingers with the hammer. She did scratch her arm on the bushes and came in dripping blood, but we’re used to her doing things like that.

Preparing for Pebbles

The tag for Pebbles’ collar has arrived. Mum has put it onto the collar so that it’s all ready. We’ve also ordered a heartbeat cushion for her so that she settles more easily. Mum’s going to get some puppy pads too, in case Pebbles has any little accidents. This is all starting to feel very real. She’s five weeks old today, so there are only another three weeks to go. That really isn’t very long at all. Mum may be going to see her tomorrow, but I think if Dad’s at home then I will probably stay here rather than spend most of the day in the car.

Love

Wilma
