Change of Name
Mum thinks we need a change of name. Not for us, you’ll be pleased to know. For our house. There are plans to have a 20 mile per hour speed limit through the centre of our village. The starting point would be the house next to ours and there would be a speed limit sign outside their house. Outside our house, the entire width of our garden, would be the road markings to slow people down. Apparently, they are called dragon’s tooth markings. Mum says we should call our house ‘Dragon’s Lair’ to go with them. I’m not sure which of us she is suggesting might be the dragon, but I don’t think it’s me. On the bright side, it will be easy to give people directions to where we live.
Check up on my eye
My eye specialist rang yesterday to ask how I’m getting on. To be honest, I think things are going the right way. The bruising and inflammation of a couple of days ago seems to be reducing. He asked if I could send him some photos of how it looks. I called Mum and asked her to take them. That reminded me of the problem I wanted to talk to him about.

When you use your saliva gland to create a tear duct, it is all very well until smell some food and both your mouth and your eye start to water. Quite honestly, food now makes me cry. I have breakfast – I cry. I have a biscuit – I cry. Basically, I get emotional around food.

Next Friday I will go for an in person check-up and hopefully be signed off for a while. My specialist says we will check my tear rate after a while and then can talk about operating on my other eye a couple of months later.

Love and licks
