No one got seriously hurt
We have survived Pebbles’ birthday party and no one got seriously hurt. Pebbles headbutted Eiger’s dad, but fortunately he found his glasses before Eiger rolled on them. Pebbles (again) hit Mum’s hand against the door frame pulling her inside, but the swelling will go down in a day or two. Overall, it was a lot calmer than Mum and I feared. Ok, so Eiger did try (quite enthusiastically) to mount Pebbles, which has made Mum wonder if the poor girl might be hormonal. It would explain the serious hair loss if nothing else. Overall, the four of them played together quite well.

Mum thinks the vigorous play is just what Pebbles needs and she’s going to try to meet up with Eiger again soon.
I had cake
I hate to say this, but Buddy’s mum is much better at making dog cakes than our mum is. She very kindly made birthday cakes for the pups and insisted that I have one (or two) as well. They were delicious. I’m wondering if Mum will be offended, when my birthday next comes around, if I contract out the birthday cake baking to Buddy’s mum.

By the time that her birth mum, half-sister, together with their two Bernese housemates, her sister Freya and brothers Eiger and Buddy had all left Pebbles was exhausted and to be honest I think Mum was too. I had a good sniff round and checked that all was well.

Pulling faces
Pebbles was of course predictable on the family photo. At least all the dogs were looking toward the camera when the shutter clicked, but Pebbles being the dog she is, managed to stick her tongue out at just the right moment. Mum loves the picture because it really sums up our darling Pebbles. She wouldn’t be Pebbles if she didn’t find something odd to do.

Love and licks
