Learning new things
Pebbles is busy learning new things. With her improved concentration she is able to pick things up quickly. To be honest, she will only be limited by Mum’s capability and imagination in training her.
One Mum taught her a while ago but wasn’t sure she’d really understood was her dog doorbell. If Pebbles needs to go out she is supposed to press her doorbell and Mum goes and opens the back door. Mum introduced it ages ago but then Pebbles was outdoors so much she didn’t need to use it. In the last couple of weeks Pebbles has used it a twice and both times she genuinely needed to pee and poo. Mum is really pleased with her.
Bring
Her new command is ‘bring’. When Pebbles goes outside, she likes to take one of her cuddly toys with her. The only problem is that she tends to leave them there and then Mum has to round them up. Mum has got fed up with that. Instead she has taught Pebbles the command ‘bring’. Mum points to whichever toy is on the grass and Pebbles then picks it up and carries it back inside. She’s a clever girl – Pebbles rather than Mum.

My eye is fine
Mum and I were worried about my eye yesterday. It was quite dry and closed up and I was feeling miserable about it. I’m pleased to say that after a couple of doses of eye drops and an extra Kong to chew on, I woke up this morning and everything is back to normal. You cannot know how relieved I am about it. I guess it does teach me I need to be more patient with Mum when she says she wants to give me more eye drops for my own good. Maybe she’s right and I shouldn’t fight against it.
