Everyone happy – Sunday 30th May 2021

Everyone happy

Yesterday was one of those glorious days with everyone happy. Mum and Dad spent a lot of the day outside. Ari helped with the gardening most of the time. Shadow lay in the shade watching what was going on. I chased all the things I’m not supposed to and had a lovely sunny walk, which is always a bonus when you think how long the weather has been bad.

It was one of those wonderful days with everyone happy yesterday. Now we just want some more that are like that - just exactly like that.

Mum has put a stall outside the house with all sorts of things that have been kept in case they were useful but never were. They are free if anyone would like them and she’s hoping they will now head off to places they can actually serve their purpose.

Plant cuttings

Mum spent some time fruitlessly taking cuttings from plants. When I say fruitlessly it’s because I’ve lived with her a long time now and there are a few things I’ve come to understand. They might take root. They might have the potential to do very well. However tragically the most likely outcome is that after a week or two Mum will forget to water them and all that potential will be wasted. Now she’s setting out to prove me wrong!

Today’s plan

Today’s plan is a repeat of yesterday’s. There are more plant cuttings to be done. There are some other garden jobs Mum wants to sort out ready for leaving and there will be more on a stall outside the house. I’m also hoping there will be another nice walk to be had. I could get used to this. Time outdoors is what makes me happy. Mum says much the same. It does make me wonder why she works indoors at a desk, but humans can be very odd like that.

Exciting

Oh, I forgot to tell you. If everything goes to plan I’m going to see the new house in a couple of weeks. Mum says that as long as I’m good I can go with her and Dad. Shadow says she doesn’t mind as she’s not so keen on long journeys these days. Ari is livid that he isn’t going. He thinks it’s his duty as the man of the pack to check it out for his Mum and me. Oh he did make me laugh. He knows I’m pack leader as well as I do. Still, sometimes it’s best to humour him.

Love

Wilma
