Apple harvest continues

The apple harvest continues. The good news is that there are far more apples than Dad is going to be able to collect. Of course, where there’s good news, there’s always bad news. The bad news is that the weather is horrible and Mum refuses point blank to let us bring rotten apples into the house to eat. Ari and I have been challenging each other as to who wants to stay out in the wind and the rain longest to eat apples. He is winning paws down. Sometimes I think he is oblivious to the miserable weather. Mind you, I suppose he doesn’t cope with cold so he probably sees this as an advantage.

Ari’s vet visit

Yesterday, old goody four paws went to the vet for his annual vaccinations and health check. He was as good as gold according to Mum. “Why can’t you be more like Aristotle, Wilma?” I muttered under my breath that it was because I was me and I wasn’t likely to change. They didn’t look any further into the problem with his eye. He’ll be going back for that in a couple of weeks. However, they checked his claws and trimmed the ones which were a little long. He simply stood there and let them lift each leg without making a single noise. At times, I really don’t think he is an Entlebucher at heart.

Loud in places

Today’s forecast is ‘loud in places’. Mum says there are going to be a number of deliveries and you know what we’re like. We make a lot of noise when the doorbell rings the first time. After that if it rings again soon after it’s a free for all. Ari will take up position by the door and we’ll act as an early warning system. Even Shadow gets involved when she sees us, although she will have absolutely no idea what’s going on.

Love

Wilma
