The Chair – Saturday 20th August 2022

The Chair

Today has been all about the chair. We’ve all rather fallen in love with it. Mum was great and even though it’s her birthday present, she let me try it out first. Shadow came over, so I gave her a bit of a look, so that she’d know I wasn’t ready for sharing, not with her anyway. I did move over so Mum could get in with me and it really is the perfect size.

When I’m not in it, it’s just big enough for Mum to curl up in, although we were both a bit frustrated at all the leaves and twigs falling on us from the tree.

The view

The view from the chair is pretty good too. You can see right up the garden from there. Mum already knew it was the very best spot as it’s the one I always choose to lie in when I have the opportunity to wile away an hour or two in contemplation. You can see through the side fence into the front garden as well, so it gives you a pretty much all round view of what is going on.

Ari’s turn

Ari wanted to try the chair too. He’s been feeling a little bit sorry for himself and wanting some tender loving care. He really enjoyed sharing the chair with Mum and could jump up quite easily. Mum gave his coat a good brush too as he’s still having problems with it. It’s Shadow I feel a little sorry for. She can’t haul herself up into the chair and when she’s already sitting down, Mum can’t pull her up either. It’s no good Mum lifting Shadow up first as if Mum isn’t in the chair Shadow doesn’t want to get in. She will have to wait for Dad to come home to try it.

Anyway, if you’re looking for any of us today, we’ll be in the chair.

Love

Wilma
