Wagathon
Listen up all you dogs, there’s going to be a Wagathon and you need to take part. The charity fund raisers Give as You Live Donate are trying to help dog charities across the UK make up some of the shortfall in funding that has happened due to the pandemic and you can take part. I’ll give all the details below, but they are asking dogs everywhere, old and young, to sign up to take part.
What’s Happening?
The idea is that you undertake a sponsored walk of 9km.
If your little paws can’t manage that far then you don’t have to do it all in one go. They are timing the event to coincide with National Dog Day on 26th August and are suggesting you can get your walking in over the course of the bank holiday weekend. You can do some each day to get to your total, if that’s easier. They are hoping that enough people will sign up so they can raise £1m for dog charities that weekend. You decide where you walk and you can even get together with your doggy pals to walk at the same time.

They are also running a competition as part of it and the prizes are £100 for your favourite dog charity and a hamper of treats for you!

Mum doesn’t know exactly where we’re going to be that weekend yet, but she’s said that if it can work out then I can sign up to take part too. I’d really like to do that to help support all the dogs in need.
