This is frustrating
Well this is frustrating. The end of my wound does not seem to be healing very well. It keeps opening up again. My dressing has fallen off, which really isn’t helpful too. It is ok if I don’t stretch, but if I move about too much it opens up. I’ll be honest with you, it seems the worst time is when I squat down for a poo. It’s just the wrong position and stretches that part of my lower back. It’s all very well Mum asking if I could try a different sort of position, but it really isn’t that easy.
Mum has said we will see how I’m doing on Monday but we may need to talk to the vet about putting another stitch in to keep that part in place until it has more chance to heal.
Exciting developments
Unpacking the boxes which have been in storage is leading to some exciting developments. Mum found the hooks for my leads and has promised to put them up this week. It will be so nice to have my leads hanging up where I can see them, so I can decide which one to wear when I go out. I have a lovely one with the Swiss flag repeated along. It isn’t one that I use very often but it’s nice to see it there ready for special occasions. For everyday use I alternate between my pink lead that I chose when I first came to live with Mum and Alfie’s old lilac coloured lead. I’ve even got Alfie’s old puppy lead with bones on. It’s a real honour to be trusted with the special things which were Alfie’s. I treasure them.
Mum is going to collect some more of the boxes today. I think I’m going to have to start making decisions on which beds to keep soon and that is a very difficult question.
