Stowe Gardens
Yesterday we went to Stowe Gardens in Buckinghamshire. It was so much better than I was expecting when Mum described it to me. For one thing it really was very dog friendly and we could even go into one of the cafés – although I didn’t. There were an awful lot of people, but it is such a large area that it didn’t feel too busy or crowded. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many random garden buildings dotted around for no good reason other than to look ornamental.
Well-behaved dogs
We saw a lot of very well-behaved dogs. Mum said that I needed to take a leaf out of their books. She asked if I would mind barking a little less, but it was only when we stopped walking and the humans were being boring. Mum bumped into a friend who she hadn’t seen for five years, so she was happy, but that bit didn’t really include me.
My cousin Flossie is very well-behaved and very easy to be around. Thankfully, she doesn’t bark as much as me so we didn’t start that whole competing thing.
White Hart Hotel
Then we all went to the White Hart in Buckingham. I said I’d stay in the car. It’s so much easier to stretch out and have a nap than when people keep standing on you. Flossie went in and said it was fine, although she didn’t get given any food which she was disappointed by.
We’d walked for a couple of hours at Stowe so I was happy to chill out for the rest of the time and by the time we got home we were all quite tired.
Now I’m getting ready to get in the car to go to meet my friends for another walk.
