Bar B Q
Yesterday was my first ever bar b q if I remember correctly. Now I’m hoping we can do it lots more as it was just fantastic. It all began with a run with my friend Ruff. He loves chasing the ball and I love chasing him. Oh we had a wonderful time and as we were in my favourite place in the whole world, I could not have been happier. Then at the top of the hill there is a bar b q under the trees so it’s a bit sheltered, which was good as it started to rain. Mum, me and Ruff as well as Ruff’s mum all sat on a bench under the tree to stay dry while Dad, Ruff’s dad and his human brother lit the bar b q. There is even firewood provided, which saved me having to run off to see what I could find.
Spare Ribs
Mum and I had plain spare ribs, which were very nice. I do like that fact that Mum can’t have things with seasoning on as it means she can always share them with me. She only gives me a little bit, but I’m happy as long as I get some. The humans had taken a bottle of wine too. I didn’t get any of that! I tried, but Dad spotted what I was doing and moved his glass.
We stayed mostly dry, or we would have done if I hadn’t run through all the long grass and gone in the stream.
Worn out
I had run with Ruff so much that I was ready for a nap when we got back. That worked out well as Mum and Dad went to a market in the local town and as it was going to be quite busy it was better that I didn’t go with them. If I’m being honest, I think Dad would rather have stayed at home with me, but he didn’t get the choice. He was much happier after Mum let him go paddling in the lake before they came home.
